Positions for Postdoctoral Fellow in Analog/RF Integrated Circuits, Shanghai Jiao Tong University

Applications are invited for one position of Postdoctoral Fellow in Analog/RF Integrated Circuits design at School of Microelectronics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), in the areas of integrated circuits design. SJTU is a top university in China, best known for its engineering schools, ranked within 100 worldwide. With a body of close to 2000 international students, SJTU boasts its varieties in culture and food. Located in the international City of Shanghai with the fastest growing economy, SJTU presents lots of opportunities. Chinese government has recently announced a plan to energize the semiconductor industry with tens of billion dollars investment each year in next 10 years.

The successful applicant for the position will join a highly dedicated multi-disciplinary team to develop cutting edge devices for wireless sensor networks. The post holder will be responsible for the design of circuits in one of the following areas: sensor interface, wireless transceiver, micro-controller, and power management, complementing the existing team. He/She will be a key contributor to the design, verification, and testing of an advanced mixed-signal circuits and system for wireless sensor networks.

Applicants should have a Phd degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline. Hands-on experience in analog or RF or digital design is required and experiences of successful tape-out of complex chips is preferred. Successful candidates are expected to conduct independent research and publish his/her research work in respected journals and conferences. The post holder will be required to travel both within China and abroad to conduct research and attend conferences. The post holder may undertake some teaching duties and guide graduate students in related areas. The term is for three years and possible to convert to tenure-track position.

Applications are invited for one position of Postdoctoral Fellow in Embedded Software design at School of Microelectronics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). The successful applicant for the position will join a highly dedicated multi-disciplinary team to develop cutting edge devices for body sensor network, wearable electronics, and others. The post holder will be responsible for working with the circuit design team, to develop software, algorithms to tackle the difficult problems, as well as pushing for practical use of the devices.

Applicants should have a Phd degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or other related discipline. Successful candidates are expected to conduct independent research and publish his/her research work in respected journals and conferences. The post holder will be required to travel both within China and abroad to conduct research and attend conferences. The post holder will need to undertake some light teaching duties and guide graduate students in related areas.

Ph.D. Student Fellowship in Biomedical IC and System Design: Research at New York University Abu Dhabi, and Ph.D. degree from New York University, NY, USA

The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for Research Assistants to work at the Integrated BioElectronics Lab (led by Prof. Sohmyung Ha) on wearable biosignal sensors, implantable glucose sensors, and/or prosthetic devices as Ph.D. graduate researchers. This Fellowship is a unique opportunity to pursue advanced research across two exciting campuses. Students who receive the Fellowship complete all graduate coursework at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, Brooklyn, New York, spend subsequent years working at the Integrated BioElectronics Lab at NYU Abu Dhabi, and receive the Ph.D. degree from the NYU Tandon School of Engineering upon their successful completion of all the requirements.

Research Associate / Senior Research Associate (Department of Electronic Engineering/City University of Hong Kong)

A Master Degree or PhD Degree in Biomedical Engineering/Biomedical Science/Life Science with experience in in vivo electrophysiological recording in the central nervous system of rodent animal. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in optogeneics stimulation and recording, and immunohistochemistry. Strong background and knowledge in physiology; good command of written and spoken English; highly self-motivated work ethic.
